Bridging Communities:
Our Unique Approach
Family as the
Foundation
Families are critical to long-term mental health, yet they’re often overlooked. Our family-first approach ensures that spouses, children, and caregivers are equipped with the tools, resources, and networks they need to thrive alongside their loved ones.
A Network-Driven
Model
Real change requires more than isolated efforts. That’s why we act as a connector and convener, uniting leaders from across sectors—corporate partners, nonprofits, government agencies, and innovators—to co-develop solutions that go beyond traditional models.
Bold Innovation, Real Solutions
We lead with courage and creativity. Mental health care is evolving, and we’re at the forefront—embracing both proven methods and emerging therapies. From equine and art-based programs to exploring cutting-edge treatments like psychedelic-assisted therapy, we push beyond the conventional to deliver what truly works.
About
Katie Katz
The daughter of an Air Force veteran, Katie grew up with deep respect for her father’s service and the sacrifices it entailed. But behind the uniform and medals was a battle her family wasn’t prepared for—a battle against Parkinson’s disease, dementia, and untreated PTSD.
Her father’s last decade was marked by rapid decline, fear, and struggles that her family didn’t fully understand at the time. Without the right resources or guidance, they were left to navigate these challenges alone. He passed away when Katie was 17, leaving her to face not only his loss but also the harsh reality of how unsupported families like hers often are.
Determined to change the system, Katie founded Victory Bridge Foundation. This is her response to the gaps her family faced and her commitment to ensuring that no other family has to go through the same experience.
Katie's leadership is rooted in action, compassion, and the belief that it’s time to do things differently. Through Victory Bridge Foundation, she’s creating a path forward for veterans and their families, one that empowers them to thrive instead of just survive.
