Why it Matters
There’s a disconnect in this country — between those who’ve served and those who haven’t, between what’s real and what’s represented. But trauma isn’t just a military story. It’s a human one.
Creatives, veterans, and communities alike are carrying silent battles. This campaign uses storytelling, art, and shared truth to close the gap.

Rewrite the Narrative
A National Campaign to Reconnect a Divided Nation
We’re here to close the gap between military and civilian life.
To bring truth to trauma. Humanity to headlines. Connection to culture.

To bridge the divide and change how America sees it's own.
Because what we believe shapes what we build.
And if we keep telling the wrong stories — we’ll keep living the wrong reality.
Our service members return to a country that no longer sees them. Fewer than 30% of Americans have any personal connection to military service. The result? A public shaped by secondhand stories — often wrong, often harmful.
We’ve let media stereotypes and political noise define who our heroes are - and it’s costing lives.
This is the cost of misunderstanding: silence, isolation, and systems that don’t serve.
It’s time to reconnect. To see the full person behind the uniform. To bridge the gap — and close it for good.
The Role of the Public

In the absence of real connection, civilians turn to media to “understand” military life. But too often, they get it wrong.
We’ve let media stereotypes and political noise define who our heroes are - and it’s costing lives. This is the cost of misunderstanding: silence, isolation, and systems that don’t serve.
Media has the power to educate — or alienate. We’re working with creators to change that — from the inside out.
The Role of the Media

For many, film and television are the only lens into military life — but that lens has been distorted. Too often, veterans are reduced to ticking time bombs. Mental health is dramatized or ignored. And trauma becomes a plot device, not a truth to understand.
These portrayals don’t just shape perception — they shape stigma, silence, and systems that fail.
It’s time to partner with those who lived it.
To tell stories rooted in dignity, complexity, and truth.
Because when Hollywood gets it right, the world listens differently.
